“AMIEL BAKEHILA” HOSTED BY KEHILLAT OHR TZION

Hosted by Kehillat Ohr Tzion

“Amiel BaKehila”

Monday June 3rd – Wednesday, June 5th

Kehillat Ohr Tzion

879 Hopkins Rd. Williamsville, New York 14221

We would like to share a wonderful community initiative for Jewish Buffalo. We have been chosen with a few other communities in North America to host “Amiel BaKehila”, a joint program of the Israel Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Ohr Torah Stone.

It will involve a delegation of Israelis joining the community 7 times in the coming year to provide educational and experiential programs for the entire community. The goal of the program is to bring communities together around the theme of Israel- be it educational or musical/artistic programming.

This program is being offered FREE to our community, with a base cost of $30,000 being covered by the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs. The only cost to us will be the logistics of planning and housing any events WE wish to run.

Kehillat Ohr Tzion will be responsible for housing the delegation who will have their own means of transportation (at least for their first visit). The Federation’s support of this program is essential, and to that end, they’ve committed resources in order to help the program succeed.

The first delegation scheduled for Mon, June 3- Wed, June 5 and will serve as an opportunity to introduce the program to all of you.

Throughout the morning/afternoon of Monday, June 3, each one of you and the organization that you support (on a one-on-one basis), will have a chance to meet the members of the delegation in order to better understand how they can best provide quality programming for your organization during future visits.

Furthermore, in the evening of Tuesday, June 4, all of you are invited to participate in a presentation and musical show by the delegation in order to give us a glimpse as to what we can expect. This will also give us an opportunity to begin planning out the dates for future visits as well as gain a better understanding of what the program entails.

Please stay tuned for further details pertaining to scheduling meetings with the delegation on the Monday and the presentation on Tuesday evening.

Please see the following 3 attachments for detailed information about the program:

1. Welcome to Amiel BaKehilla- info about the program

2. First delegation group- the people joining

3. OTS Amiel Bakehila Israel Cafe @ Kehillat Ohr Tzion

Many thanks for your partnership in making this opportunity flourish for our community. Please feel free to direct any questions to Keren Green (keren@buffalojewishfederation.org) or Rabbi Ori Bergman (oribergman@gmail.com)
