Shavuot is Zman Matan Torateinu, the time of the giving of the Torah. Here is a Mishnah from Pirkei Avot that describes the qualities that facilitate the acquisition of Torah. Which ones come naturally to you? Which ones don’t?
Torah is greater than the priesthood or sovereignty, for sovereignty is acquired with thirty virtues, the priesthood with twenty-four, and Torah is acquired with forty-eight qualities. These are:

4. comprehension of the heart
5. Amazement, awe
6. fear
7. humility
8. joy
9. purity
10. serving the wise
11. examining ideas with friends
12. teaching students

27. satisfaction with one’s lot- the secret to happiness
28. protecting what is precious- the way you live your life
29. not taking credit for oneself
30. being beloved, likableness
31. loving Hashem (G‑d)
32. love of humanity
33. loving righteousness
34. love the straight path

Thus we have learned: One who says something in the name of its speaker brings redemption to the world, as is stated (Esther 2:22), “And Esther told the king in the name of Mordechai.”
