As I write from Great Barrington, Mass, I want to wish you all a Shabbat of peace and tranquility. The weeks parsha is jam packed with wisdom, insights and personal guidance. I’d like to urge us all to explore them and use the Torah portion as a tool for greater self d-scovery and growth.
Pick a parsha book you like and glean some wisdom from the Torah. To the degree that we prepare for Shabbat by proper study, we are able to receive its blessings. If you don’t know where to start, here are my top 3 parsha books which I think you’d enjoy (all can be ordered on Amazon.com):
1. Love Your Neighbor by Rabbi Zelig Pliskin
2. #Parasha: Weekly Insights from a Leading Israeli Journalist- by Sivan Rahav Meir
3. Essays on Ethics: A Weekly Reading of the Jewish Bible by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks
