Sarah’s Key (2010), takes place in present-day Paris, as an American journalist researches for her article about the 60th anniversary of the “Vel d’Hiv” (stadium which was used for indoor cycling) Jewish round up in 1942 Paris.
When she moves into her father-in-law’s childhood apartment, she realizes it once belonged to Sarah Strazynski’s family, the Jewish occupants who were deported 60 years prior. Following the film Regine Marton, granddaughter of Hungarian Jewish immigrants murdered during the Holocaust (Shoah), will share a written account of her mother’s experience during the war and conduct a Q&A with the audience.
