I would like to invite you to join me in the KOT Shabbat Project Challenge. The idea is simple and can be done by anyone reading this blurb. What you need to do is the following:
Embrace the Magic of Shabbat for one minute, one hour, one day this coming Shabbat in a way you haven’t done before. We all know that Shabbat has special rules to help enhance its experience. Many of these rules, in the form limitations, are there to free us up to focus on the things we love- family, wisdom, spirituality.
Pick a “limitation” and consider how this can enhance an area of your life. Here’s an example- perhaps I can decide that while driving to shul, I will not turn on the radio thus allowing me the ability to connect with the person next to me or listen and connect to myself without distraction. Or perhaps, I can prepare my Shabbat food before Shabbat, and connect with the awareness that the simple act of eating food prepared in this way is a mitzvah (which some like to claim costs no calories). Please join us for Kabbalat Shabbat at KOT at 5:30 when I will share a personal story of how I am making my Shabbat a more powerful and inspiring day. And don’t forget to check out the KOT Promo Video for this Shabbat brought to you by Eldan Cohen- Click HERE.
